UUFN to receive Jane & Littleton Mitchell Award

The NAACP, Newark Branch, has decided to award UUFN the “Jane and Littleton Mitchell Award,” which award is given to a group or organization that exemplifies a commitment to the community. This is a high honor and we are very proud to be recognized by the NAACP in this way.

The award will be presented on Sunday, October 20 at the NAACP’s biggest event of the year, the Freedom Fund Dinner, which begins at 2:00 pm at the Executive Conference Center, 205 Executive Drive, Newark DE 19702.

If you need another reason why this event is not to be missed, our very own Amani Thurman will be one of two student MC’s for the event!

For more information and to purchase tickets (at $50 each) at the UUFN table, contact Glen Schmiesing or see him at coffee hour. NAACP must receive ticket orders by October 1.
