Coalition to Dismantle the New Jim Crow Meeting at UUFN

Newark Branch of The Coalition to Dismantle the New Jim Crow

Monday, October 16, 6-7 p.m.

UUFN Mackinnon Hall

Have you been wondering how you can make a difference in the difficult issue of racism?

The Delaware Coalition to Dismantle the New Jim Crow works in partnerships to help bring the community together to work for justice. The Coalition was established to create a society where all members of the community have a fair and equal opportunity for success. The Coalition to Dismantle the New Jim Crow meets monthly to work on racism and other issues that affect our community and the meetings rotate between several Newark houses of worship. This meeting is free and open to the public.

UUFN’s mission aligns perfectly with the Coalition’s work for Racial Justice with a focus on eliminating mass incarceration. Rev. Paula Maiorano was one of the original founders of this active and engaged group. Please join Rev.Paula, Karen Barker, Liz Carlisle, the UUFN Social Justice Committee and members of the Newark community for a lively and informative meeting. A representative of Wilmington’s Hope Commission will speak to us on how to help build “social capital” for returning citizens. We will also give an update

We will also give an update on where we are on our bail reform community campaign.

This months meeting will be held at UUFN in Mac Kinnon Hall.
