Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Where does the money come from and how much is available?
The fund was started about 20 years ago with a generous donation by a UUFN member.  It is an investment fund, from which several thousand dollars are available most years - depending on the earnings.  Your request may be funded entirely or in part.
  2. Who is eligible to receive money?
Generally, UUFN members and Friends, with the support of a UUFN committee.
Guidelines are on the “Endowment Fund Application,” which you can download above.

Submit the application before the deadline: November 15.

  4. When do we get the money?
The money is available in the new year, usually as reimbursement, per receipts
Large expenses may be funded up front, upon request. You can’t fund an immediate or imminent need. For example, we can’t provide money for new pamphlets for an outreach event next week. We might fund an outreach event, via the Social Justice Committee, that you plan to hold next spring.
