Women’s Spirituality Group to Explore Haiku as a Spiritual Practice

This month the Women’s Spirituality group will explore the writing and reading of Haiku poetry as a spiritual practice. The meeting will be lead by UUFN member Donna Shand. Donna started developing her Haiku skills about a year ago after joining a Haiku group on Facebook.

The UUFN Women’s Spirituality group meets on the first Tuesday evening of each month. Participants explore a variety of different spiritual practices with a diverse group of warm, engaged, and thoughtful women. This group is open to all women and people who identify as female from the UUFN.

The usual format has everyone beginning to gather at 6:30 p.m. for conversation. There is a ritual to open the circle at 7:00 p.m. followed by a program.

Past programs have included vision boards, ecstatic dance, poetry, chakra healing, empowerment, prayer and more. Members work in teams of two to present a new topic to the group each month. We hope you’ll join us!

We like to finish by 9:00.

This event is open to UUFN members and their guests.

If you are interested in participating there is no need to RSVP…
Just show up!
