Every Sunday, half of our non-pledge collection goes toward supporting local non-profit organizations that are doing good for others, protecting our environment, and addressing humanitarian issues.
The recipient in December is National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Delaware. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
NAMI Delaware was founded in 1983 by Simon and Jill Shute along with a group of families desperate for support for their loved ones. Over the years the organization has grown to provide a wide range of awareness, advocacy, support, education and housing to support those affected by mental illness in Delaware.
NAMI's Vision: We dream of a time when our community embraces total wellness and where everyone is free to live their potential. Mission: to support, educate, and advocate until there is a cure for severe and persistent mental illness.
