Honoring the Ultimate Sacrifice

Sunday May 26, 2024 10:30am

Presenter: Rev. Ayliah Cannon

Service Description:

In the tradition of Memorial Day, today we honor those who gave their lives for this country. But I ask you, what is the value of war compared to the many lives lost. When we put these warriors on pedestals, are we honoring them, or are we using them to justify military spending on failed military operations? Do the privileges of freedom outweigh the ultimate sacrifice? Perhaps we should invest as much into peace as a new fighter jet. Then we might not have to study war no more.
