Presenter: Rev. Ayliah Cannon
Service Description:
In 1973, a popular song asked us, “Do you know where you're going to?” Now, fifty years later, we ask ourselves again. Do you know where you're going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you? These are indeed strange times for anyone who did not witness the civil rights protests of the sixties, and for those of us who did, these are frightening times. Who are we? What do we believe?
In this time when false information is rampant, and the meanings of words are being twisted, it may be easy to question our identity as humans, as liberals, as justice-seekers, and as a nation. We need to remind ourselves who we are, and why we are here, and what do we value most of all. We need assurances and validation for the journey we have chosen.
