January 1 marks the first day of the calendar year, the first worship service of 2017 and, perhaps, the first day of the rest or your life. In this special service, we will begin to focus on our month-long theme of prophecy.  Many would interpret the term, prophecy, to simply refer to predicting the future but, for a community of spiritual seekers, prophecy takes on a greater meaning – not so much “fortelling” as it is “forth-telling.” The beginning of the year marks another opportunity to use the power of our intentions, our actions and our words not to predict the future, but to address circumstances, personal, societal, political, etc. and affect great change.
