Practicing Hope in Uncertain Times

Heather Petit, Guest Speaker, has completed two years of internships to go before she can pursue Preliminary Fellowship as a minister in the UUA. Heather’s call is to transform the American corporate workplace. Heather will speak on “Practicing Hope in Uncertain Times.” Hope is a complex feeling, with a lot of nuance that regularly goes overlooked. Being hopeful is often tied to expectations and outcomes, but how do we practice hope when best cases still look hard, and everything is uncertain?

Share the Plate recipient for October is the UUA Disaster Relief Fund for relief from West Coast Wildfires.
The Disaster Relief Fund disburses grants to UU Congregations and recognized UU nonprofit entities. Disaster Relief Fund grantees report feelings of being held in care and are more connected to UU Congregations and the UUA. This month let’s help the UUA help others affected by the fires.
