In the western tradition, Imbolc and Candlemas are observed on February 1st and 2nd and are often used interchangeably. This earth-based festival is one of the cross-quarter celebrations falling halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. We will light Bridget’s fire to waken Mother Earth and our own inner stirrings.
