“Blessings in Disguise,” (A magical Service).

Guest speaker, Rob Kinslow, MDiv, is a recent graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, CA, and a candidate for Unitarian Universalist ministry. He also studied at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton, MA. Rob has served as an itinerant preacher for UU congregations for many years. Rob and his wife, Janice Zazinski, a UU administrator, live just outside Boston.

In two weeks, some of us will don masks or costumes to disguise our true identities as we honor a tradition rooted in ancient religions. Whether you celebrate Halloween or Samhain or just enjoy a good treat, guest speaker Rob Kinslow, a Unitarian Universalist minister who also happens to be a magician and writer, will use tricks and words to bring us the real magic of this season: love and a sense of wonder lying hidden all around us. Children are encouraged to attend, as are goblins of all ages.

BEFORE THE SERVICE BEGINS- Please donate to Share the Plate.
Half of the collected offering goes to this organization.

Share the Plate recipient for October is the UUA Disaster Relief Fund for relief from West Coast Wildfires.
The Disaster Relief Fund disburses grants to UU Congregations and recognized UU nonprofit entities. Disaster Relief Fund grantees report feelings of being held in care and are more connected to UU Congregations and the UUA. This month let’s help the UUA help others affected by the fires.

If you have questions or concerns or have not received an invitation and would like one, please contact the Worship Team at worship@uufn.org. Please do this well before the service.
