On December 17th, 1907, The Wright Brothers accomplished the first powered flight in history. It took them years to perfect their three axle design that helped them fly for twelve seconds over a course of 120 feet. They flew four times that day. Their fourth flight lasted 59 seconds and they traveled 852 feet.
