April 2026’s Share the Plate recipient is SL24 UnLocke the Light

SL24 UnLocke the Light Foundation’s mission is to educate, assist, and support young people in Newark on their mental health journey, working to prevent suicide and support mental health. At Sean’s House and Sean’s Room locations, young adults can drop in for support, conversation, and meaningful connections in safe, peer-led spaces. Our trained Peer Support Specialists help guests navigate difficult moments, reduce isolation, and connect them to professional care when needed. Since 2020, Sean’s House has served over 46,000 guests and helped 204 individuals navigate suicidal crises, demonstrating the power of peer support and compassionate community care.
