UUFN is coordinating with the NAACP of Newark to publicize a concert, Florence Price–Snapshots of My Soul, on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 3:00 pm at the Newark United Methodist Church (69 E. Main St., Newark, DE).

Please join us as we celebrate the music, life and legacy of this amazing African American composer, Florence Price, who overcame prejudice of race and gender to achieve international acclaim. In addition to concertos and orchestral works, she also composed works for choir, violin, piano and organ, as well as art songs and original settings of spirituals. Her compositional style has been described as “Afro-Romantic.”
