It has been a long year in our world. Some of us are feeling scared and uncertain about the future. Some of us are angry or lost. Others are seeking new ways to step up and engage in order to help create communities where all people feel welcomed and valued. It is a time of great reflection, but also a time of great action. It is now more important than ever that we work together to advance the principles of Unitarian Universalism, inside and outside our Fellowship walls. Our principles represent both hope and power. If we truly live them, they will guide our way to a better world.
As we begin a new year together at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, it is critical that we put our time and money into programs that advance these values. Our worship programs nurture compassion and mindfulness, and our sanctuary provides a home for people who may not feel safe elsewhere. Our commitment to social justice calls us to put our hands and dollars to work fighting for a more just world. Our religious education program helps to ensure that our children are learning kindness, critical thinking, and how to put their values into action.
Please consider making an end-of-year gift to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, so that our beloved community will be stronger and more ready to take on the responsibility of carrying out our mission in the New Year. We’re in this together, and we can’t do it without you.
