Our Share the Plate recipient for the month of February is the YWCA  Delaware.

Our donation will go to support the YWCA Delaware’s  Racial & Social Justice programs.

These programs include LEARNetworks, which are diverse networks of community members which meet the immediate needs of the local community after incidents of injustice or hate.

Our donation will also facilitate the re-launching of Study Circles, which would use Everyday Democracy curriculums and trained facilitators, to discuss issues of race and racism in small mixed-race groups over a period of many months. It’s our hope that these study circles will break down preconceived notions about race and encourage people to become more active in eliminating racism.

UUFN participation in these Study Circles is being planned as well.
