On Sunday, June 29th, the service will be based on Paul Stamets' book, "Mycelium Running: How Mushrooms Can Help Save The World,' which will show how all life forms really are connected, how soil layers can be healed and deepened, toxins removed, antiviral and antibacterial agents drawn upon and forests preserved through the earth's biological internet, mycelium. We are not the only species trying to fix things! There will be amazing pictures and mushroom-related snacks.

Ahmed Sharkawy leads the interfaith committee at the Islamic Society of Delaware. It is his personal mission to help people celebrate their similarities rather than their differences. He has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and is the director of photonic applications at EM Photonics located on Main Street, Newark DE. He is also a research professor at the University of Delaware. He published over 40 technical papers, four book chapters, a book to appear Spring 2009 and holds 7 patents.

There are four levels in Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) which describe not only how we interpret text, but the world and how we live in it. We will explore those four levels and how they impact our lives. We will also explore some of the text from Deuteronomy. Rabbi Kaplan has been the rabbi at Temple Beth El in Newark for the last 21 years.
