Religious Education News – December

December is an exciting month in our RE programs. The elementary Roots and Shoots children are preparing for the Holiday Pageant which they will present for you during the service on December 17th. This will be followed by the Fellowship Christmas Party.

The middle school COA group will have another mentor interactive at the beginning of the month and will be helping to assemble food baskets for the Newark Area Welfare Committee. They will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items through December 10th.

There will be no regular RE Classes on the last two Sundays of the month, Christmas Eve Day and New Year’s Eve day. Instead, all the RE Children will gather in Fahs Hall to celebrate Kwanzaa. There will be songs, dance, crafts, food and more as we learn about this African American holiday which runs from December 26 – Jan 1.

There are a variety of Adult Learning Opportunities available at UUFN! Please visit the Adult RE page!
