A Raucous Celebration of Summer!

On Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at 7 pm, the Women’s Spirituality Group will sponsor a family friendly celebration of the Summer Solstice. The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. (In the Southern Hemisphere it is the longest night! Sometimes we forget they are experiencing weather similar to what we in Delaware would have in December!)

Please come celebrate the Joy of Life, by lighting the fire of our beloved gathering with music and dance. Be sure to bring a lawn chair, bug spray, sunglasses, drums and any other musical instruments you think appropriate. (Note that there will not be a potluck supper this year.)

This event will be held outside so please dress comfortably. The Spirits will appear for mischief! There will be a variety of activities for all ages including:

  • Chalk drawing
  • Bonfire
  • Drumming
  • Music
  • Dancing
  • S’mores

This event is listed on Eventbrite here. It would be useful if you would grab a ticket so we could be sure to have enough chocolate for s’mores!

Please come and bring a friend!
