The UUFN is a member of two larger UU organizations, the Joseph Priestley District (JPD) of the UUA and the Unitarian Universalist Association. The congregations make up the membership of both.
The Joseph Priestley District covers the area from Northern Virginia to Southern New York and from West Virginia in the West to New Jersey in the East. The Joseph Priestley District is a member of the newly created Central East Regional Group. This Regional governance body includes Ohio Meadville, Metro New York, JPD and St. Lawrence Districts.
