To build, enhance, and deepen the connections among members – both through
activities initiated by us and by helping other committees with their activities.

About

The Fellowship Committee consists of: Rachael Coffey, Greg Chute, Fran Gulino, and Jim Salt. If you are interesting in joining the Fellowship Committee or in receiving emails about what it is doing please send an email to Rachael Coffey at RSCoffey@comcast.net.

There are many opportunities for fellowship at the UUFN! Social events such as the UUFN Birthday Party in October and service events such as working at the Delaware Food Bank provide opportunities to get to know others you and to deepen your relationships with those you do already know.

The Fellowship Committee is trying to provide easy access to information about what is happening at the UUFN and how you can participate. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for fellowship opportunities or how to let everyone know about them.

You can find information on upcoming fellowship opportunities in three places: on the UUFN website on this page and under the Upcoming Events section on the home page, in the front lobby of the UUFN you will find "This Week at the UUFN" which an at-a-glance calendar of this weeks events, and on the Getting To Know You bulletin board across from the name tag area – look here for pictures of events – maybe you will be in a picture!

September

Fellowship Circle Signup – all month
Looking for a way to get to know people in the UUFN better? Want a chance for meaningful conversation? Then join a Fellowship Circle. Circles of about six to eight people meet once a month to explore varying themes and topics relating to philosophy, religion, spirituality, science, humor, psychology - whatever. A sign-up board will be in the UUFN lobby starting in early September.

In-Gathering Cookout – Sunday, September 13th
Join others for an informal cookout after the In-Gathering service welcoming everyone back from their summer activities – Rev Chute will be the grill master and all you have to do is show up and eat!

October

Circle Supper Sign-up – beginning October 1st
Not ready to commit to a Fellowship Circle – try a circle supper. Circle Suppers are an opportunity to join a small group for dinner and conversation. All circle suppers occur on the same day – an extended gathering occurring at multiple locations. Circle Suppers will be held on, Wednesday, November 11th. A sign-up board will be in the UUFN lobby starting in early October.

Be Our Guest Sunday – October 4th
The service on this day will be focused on introducing others to Unitarian Universalism and the UUFN. This is the perfect day to bring those people who are interested in the UUFN and haven’t made in yet.

UUFN Birthday Party – Saturday, October 10th, 5:30pm
The UUFN is having a birthday – our 54th birthday! The Fellowship Committee will be hosting a pasta dinner followed by a birthday cake decorating contest. There will be 12 cakes – one for each month of the year to be decorated by people whose birthdays fall in that particular month. The cakes will then be judged by a panel of in-house cake eating experts (TBA). This is a come and have fun event – just show up and we will do the rest (of course, we would accept help if it is offered but it is not necessary!)

Committee Sunday – October 11th
Each committee will have a table and members present to tell you what their committee does. It is also an opportunity to find out what help they need to help them fulfill their tasks and where YOU could fit. Please hang out after coffee hour and see what everyone is up to!

Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner – Sunday, November 22nd, 11:30am
Let us all join our pots together for a celebration of thanks after Sunday services. More details TBA.

Christmas Plant Sale – Sunday, December 6th
Laura Anderson coordinates a wonderful Christmas plant sale – don’t miss it!

Christmas Party – Saturday, December 19th
Our annual opportunity for fun and food around the holidays. Look for some new things this year and don’t forget to volunteer to make it the best party yet!
