6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Theodore Parker Room
Wednesday Evenings at 7pm (set up 6:30)
Cushions, benches, and mats are provided; you are welcome to bring your own. We begin with chanting, then have two 25-minute silent mediation sessions with a short walking meditation in between the sessions.
Our ritual follows the Soto Zen tradition. We do not teach the Dharma, although we sometimes share a story from Buddhist teaching, or recommend books to each other or to newcomers.
Unusual for UUs, it is our practice to start exactly on time, and we encourage arrival well before the sitting begins at 7pm.
Held in Theodore Parker room.
This event is open to the public.
