Come Celebrate the Summer Solstice with Coyote Medicine.

Friday, June 21, 2019, at 7 pm – Rain or Shine (rain may take us indoors.)

We are excited to have Native American Shaman Cyndy Paige, and Native American flute player Kathy Owen, to participate in our celebration.

We will honor Coyote Medicine with stories & teachings, chants, and dance, drums & sacred fire, meditation & flute music.

What a great way to start the Summer!

Bring a lawn chair, bug spray, appropriate attire for the weather. If it pours we may move inside.

Children are welcome!

We will end with fun around a campfire, roast marshmallows, make s’mores, and enjoy the longest night of the year.

Cyndy “Snake Dancer” Paige is a Native American Shaman. Cyndy received the name “Snake Dancer” from Spirit during a profound vision quest experience. Snake is often seen as a healer and teacher in both Native American and western medicine traditions. Cyndy is of Muscogee Creek and Choctaw heritage. Cyndy’s teachings to the Medicine Wheel came from the late Sun Bear; & her several decade initiatory-type apprenticeship with Grandmother Pathweaver, a Cherokee medicine woman, who has dedicated her life to igniting spiritual awareness.

Kathy Owen is a well known Native American Flute player who gives concerts retreats and has performed at many Pow Wows. She is gifted with understanding fire and will teach us about Sacred Fire and tobacco.

*Thank you to UUFN’s Women’s Spirituality Group, especially Nancy Plummer for organizing this event.
